How do we decide between selective racking and a high-density system?

It comes down to SKU count, pallet depth per SKU, and how often each item moves. Selective racking gives every pallet direct access and suits operations with many SKUs and low pallet counts per SKU, while push back, drive-in, and pallet flow trade some selectivity for far more pallet positions in the same footprint. How much additional storage capacity can we realistically gain in our existing building?

Most Atlanta warehouses we lay out gain 20 to 40 percent more pallet positions without adding square footage. The gains usually come from using full clear height, tightening beam levels to actual load profiles, narrowing aisles to match your lift equipment, and moving slow-moving bulk into a denser system. Do you handle pallet rack installation?

Our own crews install every project. Frames are anchored to the slab, plumbed, leveled, decked where needed, and capacity-tagged at each bay before we leave the building.

Will installation disrupt our warehouse operations?

Rarely. We phase work aisle by aisle or zone by zone and schedule around your shifts, so shipping and receiving keep running while the crew works another section.

What happens if a forklift damages our rack later?

Accepted Answer

Call us with the upright profile and location. We stock replacement components and can send a crew to swap a damaged section rather than leaving a row running at reduced capacity.
